Project Description
Myth-Inspired Stylized 3D Model
This project is a 3D character model of Ne Zha, inspired by the legendary figure from Chinese mythology and modern animated interpretations. The goal was to capture Ne Zha’s youthful, rebellious spirit while blending stylized aesthetics with strong anatomical structure.
I was responsible for the full character modeling pipeline—from base mesh creation and sculpting to retopology and UV mapping. Special attention was given to facial features, costume details, and accessories to reflect both traditional elements and modern flair. The model was designed with animation and rigging in mind, maintaining clean topology and efficient geometry.
Tools Used: Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter
Skills Applied: Character modeling, sculpting, topology optimization, stylized design
This piece demonstrates my ability to interpret culturally rich characters into 3D with a focus on style, storytelling, and production-ready execution.
